The modifications are great, but it needs desperately to be painted a better color. You really can't go wrong with dark blue or green on these cars, or maybe maroon. Plus the grille should be chromed.
Given the appearance of the build, I'd probably stick a typical carburated OHV V8 in it....probably a Ford Windsor, although an FE big block of some type would be tempting.
