I have the movie on DVD, and there's a hidden easter egg that tells you all about the cars in the movie.

Didn't they say in the first movie that the car made 600 hp? Of course, in reality it was a stock 351 with a fake blower, but at least they gave a believable hp rating.

CRX, did you see the roads Max banged this thing around on in "The Road Warrior?" It's that high for a reason. I mean, they had Max rear-end the Landau at the beginning of TRW to shatter the fiberglass front end so they wouldn't have to worry about ground clearances on the rough or nonexistant roads where they filmed.

"Pig shit. The lights, the motors, the vehicles, all run by a high-powered gas called methane. And methane cometh from pig shit". -Thunderdome fans know who this one's from.

Max: they actually took that splitter off the front for that movie because of the clearance issues.
Dirf: where's that easter egg?
thatbluething: Is anyone a really a Thunderdome fan? I'm a Mad Max fan, but not a Thunderdome one. 'Cause the movie sucked wang. Huge wang.

The Easter egg is only on the Special Edition of the Mad Max DVD. On the menu screen (on the normal side of the disc, not the special features side) just hit up on the control, and a Red Mad Max logo will illuminate above the screen. Just hit enter then.

oh yeah, max. i said it needed the spoilers because of how high up it was. I like the ride height, but high ride height at high speed is not a good thing, hence spoilers. I don't think that muscle cars should be real low, the factory height looked fine.

i never got the quad side exhaust... i mean, if you're going to run the exhaust that far back, why not just run a huge straight pipe off of headers?

and was the engine a 351C or 351W? i'm pretty sure it was a C

It would have been a C. Supposedly, it was the same motor that came in the car.

It's just for looks, WillyPete. Remember, this was the late '70s (also known as the Godawful Van Period.) They wanted to make this look like the ultimate badass car of all time, and they thought that helped. And yeah, Thunderdome sucked. What can you expect? They put TINA FUCKING TURNER in a Mad Max movie.

I haven't seen The Road Warrior or Thunderdome, I've only seen Mad Max. Am I missing out on anything? I've heard that The Road Warrior is pretty good.
