#2, WRC recently started airing in America again, after being gone from our TV market since 2003...
...I have to say, watching it again, I was severely disappointed... last time I watched, there was Peugeot, Citroën, Ford, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Škoda, SEAT, Hyundai, and a few privateers still running Toyotas...
...now it's just Citroën and Ford? ...with Ford running an older car? Really, really disappointing... plus, I remember Loeb coming out strong in '03 with a few victories, but now that he utterly dominates, it just isn't as interesting, driver-wise, either. |

#3, Oh, I don't know. You should have witnessed his streak of stupid mistakes this year, including the one in Rally of Poland. Theories are afloat he's bored to death with the whole thing. Latvala can also be hilarious. On the last mickey mouse stage in Poland he clipped a barrel and broke a steering arm. Top brass of the team were alredy stirring up the champagne... priceless. Also Novikov is great, crashing his car every stage or so. Children should not play with WRC cars.
As to the 'support' teams of Citren and Ford... they are just buffers, artificial crowd. When Seb falls asleep and screws up, guys from Citroen Junior Team are ordered to pull over and let him pass. In Finland I think one of these guys stopped the car on the stage and went to the forest to 'take a piss'. Sportsmanship is dead. |
