Description:
The SX4 is in the shop for some maintenance... and this is the loaner...

... I remember in high school, a friend had a used Sephia, and it was a piece of garbage. The interior was so awful... it was buzzy, chintzy, and generally unpleasant... this Spectra is actually relatively nice, for an entry-level economy car.

My parents' 2000 Sephia was a decent enough car (especially for the money), though the interior cheapness was certainly an issue.

I still don't get it... after sitting in this car, I found the seats reasonably comfortable... same deal with my mom's SX4, my sister's xB, etc... it's not hard to make seats that have a modicum of comfort...

But my friend's fully-loaded Saturn Ion has the absolutely most uncomfortable, flat front-seats I've ever sat in in a modern car... I can't believe I drove 1200 miles to Texas on that damn seat... my rear-end actually felt sore... (the trip back was in the backseat of a leather-equipped Aura, which was so much nicer)

Koreans sure upped their game, didn't they?
I wonder if the Chinese ever will.

#3, If neo-MG's upcoming line-up is any indication, there are at least a *few* Chinese automakers willing to put forth the effort to produce vehicles competitive in the global market...

...and then you still have ones like Great Wall, that produces unlicensed carbon copies of Toyotas and Fiats, but then give them ugly rhinoplasties and shove 'em out the door into the marketplace :(

...on another note, Firefox's spellchecker appears to have a few gaps in its vocabulary... rhinoplasty and sequitur both pop up as misspelled...

#4, I noticed the "sequitur" thing a while back. I just right clicked, then "Add to Dictionary."

Well, it looks like Kia and Hyundai have upped their game. I love almost all their cars now, and if it weren't for the Veloster being not-dog-friendly, I'd be sporting one by now. :(

#6, I hear Velosters go around kicking puppies, those bastards.
