'69 looked way better than '67 and '68. They were the least-best looking F-bodies. |

To expand on this...
1964 and earlier - Performance packages on A-typical sedans
1965 - Performance packages become separate model
1966 - Street Hemi released, many major models introduced
1967 - Street racing and youthful flash introduced in advertising
1968 - Musclecars become sports coupes instead of sedans
1969 - Stronger emphasis on handling
1970 - 454 introduced, height of musclecar era.
1971 - Severe power downgrades, last year for Hemi.
1972 - Last year for Mopar big blocks
1973 - Musclecars reach lowest power point
1974 and after - Power changes from Gross to NET, so cars appear to be even weaker than they had become |

Other factors not mentioned, by 1970 insurance companies began demanding upwards of $200 a year to insure muscle cars, even if you were a clean driver, from 72 on, federal regulators inserted all kinds of power-sapping regulations for emissions, as well as mandating 5mph crash bumpers and other features that tacked on to production costs and ruined the looks, plus the fuel crisis, it was just too many blows to shake off in too short a time |

Wait, Jesuz, '65-big and weak? My Tempest might have some size to it, but she weighs in at 3030lbs and weak is far from anybody's mind when I do a smoke show. |

The more I look at this car, the more I like it. It's one of the nicest looking F-bodies I think I've ever seen. |
