Is the purpose of this "sponsored" cars that people see their favorite basketball players and rappers endorsing products, so they think they'll look "just as cool" if they *pretend* to have endorsement deals?

#2, it's to have street cred, yo. The "theme" fad has died down a bunch, and the donk/hi-riser craze is pretty much done. It's now the "in" thing to have monotone paint, machined/brushed 22s-24s and no lift.

#3, Hmmm... I like subtle paintjobs, and I'm a real sucker for gunmetal or polished-aluminum wheels... that's a fad that I don't I'd hate terribly much... I'd prefer smaller wheels, but I'll take what I can get.
