#1, Basic but classic: I have noticed I am more and more drawn to older cars in 100% stock condition but in very basic spec (think Escort 1200 instead of RS1600). Popular cars, if you will. I know it might be strange but that's the way it is. The thing is, these basic models are sometimes harder to find than the 'special' models, since they had to go through a period of being considered worthless. For example, it really hard to find a nice and original cheapest E30 you could buy in Europe: 2-door 316i.

This is probably why I'm drawn to station wagon and sedan versions of old cars, because the coupes and convertibles and sport or luxury spec cars always get saved while the regular stuff doesn't.
