I still have my circa 1987 NES, but it's borked... the contacts inside are dirty, and the contacts on the cartridges are all dirty, so trying to start games results in lots of graphics glitches and the blinking-color-screen-of-death. It'd probably work if I cleaned it, but I'm too lazy and don't feel like basement digging. The light gun would probably still work, still have it. No idea where our ROB the Robot went... now that I think about it, I think he met his end via a combination of boredom and a whiffle bat in the summer of 93'

The N64 was the last one we owned as a family, after that, my brother and I bought our own stuff because the FPS craze and 12 button controllers were kinda put-offs to the rest of the family who still considered Tetris the height of video gaming.....
My Brother also bought a Genesis, fun times with the NHL series, and Toejam and Earl, but I think he sold it for $5 somewhere down the line. He also had a Dreamcast, but the untimely death of the system with only maybe 4 titles worth playing kinda made him put it in a box and forget it until he gave it away.
We both have Xbox360's now, Dad is addicted to his NES emulator so he can play Dr. Mario all day when he's bored. |

#3, NES and light zapper.
It's also a grey zapper - none of this "must look like a toy gun" shit. |
