Top Gear's film on the history of Saab was actually rather enlightening... makes me miss the brand even moreso.

#2, Only 497 9-4x's were built before the shutdown... if the shutdown is permanent, that means they could become collectible... once they stop rotting on the New Jersey docks.

I listen to autoline detroit. Heard they tried getting loans from their gov't but they said no. Offers to buy them came flat as well. They shut down production a few times due to lack of cash.
