Dear US Government,

I have taken a crappy Chinese car and stuffed it full of laptop batteries.

Give me money.

Sincerely,
Coda Automotive.

But on a more serious note, I'm actually thankful the Nissan Leaf has come out... it's kinda shown how utterly horribly laughable most of the "start-up" electric car companies actually are in comparison.

I sat in a Leaf and disliked the interior immediately, it's just not comfortable for me. I've yet to drive one, though, and would at least try it if given the chance. Seen a ton of them around, so I guess they perform adequately for people's needs. Lots of Leafs (Leaves?) and Volts in the Bay Area.

#3, Oh, I have no doubt that the original Leafs have flaws, but they were the first serious attempt at an "acceptable" electric vehicle, in terms of cost and practicality. Paved the way for even better EVs from almost every other major manufacturer.
