Well, certainly a candidate for an engine swap, given that it's pretty much in perfect condition otherwise.

I'm thinking a stock LeCar engine, though doubling the horsepower with the 1.4 from an R5 Alpine turbo would be pretty tempting.

That is an amazingly clean car. Shouldn't be too expensive to fix, since every French farmer has at least a few Renault 5 engines lying around propping shit up.
