I'm getting a "car that brings the special-guest-star-of-the-week into town" vibe from this, for any number of early 80's TV shows..... except maybe in black.

Even on a basic car like this, I still absolutely adore '70s styling... IMO, the stylists got tons of things right... the details, the proportions, the chromework, the flowing lines (on some cars... surprisingly-elegant boxy lines on others)...

Under the hood and underneath the car, however, is another story... yeesh.

#5, Under the hood and underneath the car were tried-and-true Chrysler V8s and B-body underpinnings. The only real issue these cars had was poor interior quality, especially on lower-tier trim levels.

#6, Well, I was talking about '70s cars in general... and even though the drivetrains may have been tried and true, they were heavily stifled by emissions requirements...

...and I think the "poor quality" went far beyond just the interiors... in the '70s, we were kinda like the French... great engineering, extremely poor implementation.

#8, Ditto. Probably without hubcaps as a baddie car, or just like this as the car some associate of Boss Hogg drove.

#7, Pre-'75 is smog-exempt in my state. So go nuts under the hood.
