Okay - I'll ask the question that doesn't bother me - but seems to really bother lots of other people.

Why do GM's pickups have square (sorta) wheel wells?

I've never really noticed them - and I don't really care that they aren't round. Nevertheless - some people lose their shit when they see them.

Anyone?

I dont understand the square wells myself - they seem wasteful of space.

They only bother me on the GMC Terrain, because there is nothing about the Terrain that doesn't bother me. On the other vehicles, they're no worse than the early-90s Chevy Luminas and the dustbuster vans that had the same design theme.

#4, On a tangentially-related note, I was always bugged by the dustbuster vans with the updated front fascia, since the rear wheel wells were still square, but the front ones were round.

#6, I dunno, Lambos with the distinctive Gandini rear-arch were quite sexy.

But they've always been square... ish.

Maybe it's because an 80s C/K is now a mid size and anything newer is largnormous, so they stick out more?
