Description:
Lanica Zagato

If you believe the information in the internet tubes these days, less than 2,100 of these Fiat-derived sports cars made it to the US in a brief window from 81' - 82'.

And since Lanica never had a US sales department, that meant you had to find someone to finance the importing and deal with the paperwork. You had to REALLY want one to get one.

There was one identical to this one for sale just over the Alabama line about 10 years ago, for something like $2500. It was in good working order and had a new top, but needed paint. I *almost* went to see about it, but I also had the Peugeot at that point, and I'm not a masochist when it comes to ordering parts.

#1, But imagine the nightmare that was pre-internet parts sourcing on a car that was never sold in US dealerships by a brand that never had US presence... *cold shivers* The internet has made owning a quirky little car outside it's native land a lot easier, if not painless.

#2, Parts sourcing for a Lanica is even more difficult than for a Lancia. :P

So, weirdly, this popped up randomly for me this morning, and then Motorweek released a retro review of it on YT today. https://youtu.be/0LwPjbULxSY
