Description:
Credit where it's due. This Cavalier has outlived not only most of it's generation, but most of the next three too....

I see the occasional 2nd gen Cavalier; all of which are powered by the gutless but bulletproof 3.1.

Being a college town, you'd THINK I'd see more of those, but, the last 5 years have seen a significant decline in the remaining populations of the early cavy.

I see tons of every generation of Chevrolet and Pontiac J-body. I know of a couple of early Buick Skyhawks, too, and at least one Cimarron. I haven't seen an Olds Firenza in forever, though.

I don't even see Cavalier/Sunfire much anymore, let alone Sunbirds. I do see a bunch of Cobalts and G5s though, and I do know of a purple DiRFwagon by school riding on chrome spinner hubcaps with a "carbon fiber racing" hood.

#3, Well, two words: ROAD SALT.

Been ages since I've seen a Pontiac Sunbird, and the teal one that's owned by the little old lady who drives it to our garage once a year for inspection, and little else, doesn't count. It's a convertible too.

#5, Yeah, man, even mid 1990s cars are becoming scarce here :(
