I saw an uber-clean silver base Firebird driving around town the other day, with Rally IIs and a nice-sounding chambered exhaust. Personalized plate was "1976."

With those taillights, this would be a '79-'81, right?

#2, Correct, one-piece full length tails took over after the 78's (plate was in the middle) and lasted till the end.

#3, Looks more like 3-piece to me since the center is a plastic dummy panel that just covers the fuel filler.

#4, It does, but, it's considered full width since it's made to match everything else, the 77 and 78 had the plate right in the middle, serving the same function, cover the fuel door/filler neck, and the middle part is reflective so it blends better.

#2, I'll go you one further: The bird emblem on the gas door in the middle was exclusive to 1981. 1979 and 1980 cars lacked that detail.

#6, Ok, Mr. Smart Guy... then tell me, how many cigarette butts are in the ashtray?

#7, Seventeen, with another two under the driver seat that singed the carpet.

The real question is, what brand are they?

#8, In a Firebird? Pall Mall.
