#1, There's some dude on an A-body forum who "restored" a rusty Pontiac 6000 complete with period Iowa license plates :O |

#3, It's the angle of the picture. It doesn't really look raked in relation to the curb behind it. |

#1, Tru dat.
I was once asked what the worst car on sale was. They initially were prompted to say "It's gotta be a Hyundai Accent or something" - but I remarked that they weren't the worst. Whereas the Accent may be kinda dowdy and crummy - at the very least it has airbags - HVAC - and disc brakes; features that for many people in the world would be a luxury.
I told them that the worst car on sale isn't even sold in this country - or this continent - on even on this hemisphere. It's sold in Pakistan and is called the Suzuki Mehran - a car that was stripped down and introduced in Pakistan in 1988 after the Japanese had done all the engineering work back in 1984.
The car hasn't been updated since - and since Pakistan doesn't have much in the way of crash test or emission standards for cars - AND how Suzuki can't be bothered to spend the working capital to introduce a low cost car built to newer standards for developing market - the Suzuki Mehran will likely remain the worst car on sale. |
