acttualy, DeLorean is not a fast car, i dont think it could go up to 88.lol... mr DeLorean made a big mistake on designing this car. the car was overweight, under power(130hp plushing 3200 som lbs) the stainless-steel body is hella hard to repair

due to the power complaints, they actually tried developing a twin turbo version.
200hp, 0 - 60 in 5 seconds, and a top speed of over 140mph. Unfortunately the company closed before this option could be offered...useless trivia :)

heh heh... my moms car runs the same powerplant as this car. but i bet its heavier than a delorean (a volvo 760 GLE sedan) lol

they would make about 130 mph. It just took em a while to get there. And they did make a twin turbo version. Emphasis on "a." There is exactly 1 original twin turbo delorean out there... I always fantasized about a Lotus Esprit inline-6 back there, myself.

That V6 engine is really crap. Bad milage and breaks easily. The engine is called "PRV" as in Peugeou, Renault, Volvo, they developed it togehter.

32v Northstar conversion, and they're good to go :-)

My buddy's custom car shop's done a couple. They get up an go with a Caddyshack 8 in them.
