My air conditioner stopped blowing today...and the fuse to it broke off in the fuse box. >_<

I'm guessing some sort of solid state relay malfunction. The relay to the A/C blower is about $125, and I have no idea how to get the ends of the fuse out, other than unhook the battery and attempt to dig them out with a small screwdriver or exacto knife.

I'm wondering if it would be easier just to see if I can trade the car. I'm pretty sure I owe less than it's actually worth now, and getting a lower mileage car might be beneficial in the long run. I really do like this car, but maybe two years is long enough.

#21, Just curious, do you like replacing cars semi-regularly?

I have trouble letting go of vehicles once I get them. :(

#22, I'm always torn. Part of me wants to keep them, especially the ones I really like, but another part of me wants to try something else after a few years. I like cars in general too much to tie myself too irrevocably to any one of them.

#21, Wow. That blows. Err... I mean... damn. :(

Dead A/C is actually the reason I got rid of the Infiniti G20... despite having similar components to Nissans, because it was an Infiniti, the parts were almost twice the price... and I had already fixed the A/C once before.

Gut it and make a track car? Buy a cheap-ish daily?

Got the old fuse out. Had to order new ones through Amazon, since my local auto parts store doesn't seem to stock the correct type. New ones arrive Monday, but in the meantime I had to go to work Saturday and now Sunday without A/C or working windows.

Yes, apparently the same circuit that controls the A/C also controls the damn power windows. Good thinking, Hyundai. I had to drive home yesterday in 90 degree heat (with a 104 heat index) in an automotive oven.

#27, New fuse is in, and everything's working again except the A/C. The compressor is audibly kicking in, but it's not blowing. So either a blower motor or the relay to the blower motor.

#28, A/C just randomly started blowing again Wednesday morning, and has been working fine since. Weird.

Traded it today on a red 2017 Elantra Sport with a six speed. Pictures coming when I get a chance to take them.
