Y'know, I've always thought these look pretty darn good for being econoboxes.

#5, Oddly, the styling of the Cavalier has aged somewhat nicely compared to the other early American J-bodies. The Skyhawk, Sunbird, and Firenza all used more faddish-for-the-time design elements.

#6, I imagine most people would disagree with me, but for a long time I've seen a decent amount of 3rd-gen Camaro styling-influences in the 1st-gen Cavalier, inside *and* out, even through its facelifts. Not in overall appearance/proportions, of course, but in the details. Maybe that's why it aged better.

...and I vaguely see some similar influences from the 4th-gen Camaro in the early 2nd-gen Cavaliers... however, the later facelifted 2nd-gen Cavvys were... blech.

#7, They're definitely from the same design ethos, especially after the Cavalier's slight early redesign, right after the introduction of the third gen Camaro. Yeah, that's definitely not a coincidence.
