Description:
So, just finished watching the first two seasons of this show (and the first episode of season 3)
... it is quite astonishingly awesome. A large portion of the humor is extremely vulgar and obscenely offensive and the times where they exercise improvisation in the humor can sometimes go on a bit long, but it has some amazingly well-written moments... love its use of music, as well.

A coworker of mine has just started watching this and recommended it to me. I suppose I'll have to break down and start watching it.

Everyone and their brother has been telling me to watch it. And you can literally see their hearts break when I tell them I did and did not like it. Probably because any show that can't go one episode without a Family-Guy like fart joke gets an instant turnoff from me. I find that kind of humor personally insulting.

I've now watched three episodes, including the classic "Meseeks" episode. It's pretty amusing, though they overdo it with the stammering and Rick randomly belching every third line.

Season three... well, season opener, with its April Fools' release was excellent... next few episodes were merely ok, entertaining, but nothing special. Pickle Rick was actually a pretty damn stupid episode... still good, but I hate how memetic it became.
The season finale was actually an extremely weak episode, IMO. Nothing special, and its plot and action sequence got old real fast.
Morty's Mind Blowers was better than Interdimensional Cable II, but nowhere near as good as Interdimensional Cable I.
The "middle season" episodes were actually fantastic, for the most part. What stood out for me? Ricklantis Mixup. I personally think it's the best episode of the series [so far], and an excellent pseudo-sequel to "Close Rick-counters". It also got me to buy another Eagles song on mp3.
ABC's of Beth was surprising in how much character development it gave for Beth. The ending is actually quite beautifully done.

I never got past the first few episodes. It just felt obnoxious. The rabid fanbase overhyping it to all hell didn't help either

#13, The latter was the same thing that ultimately put me off. The show was reasonably clever for a couple of seasons, but the fanbase is just godawful.
