Description:
The typical row of late-model Corvettes that every car show seems to attract.

Normally I don't pay too much attention, but just moments before I took this picture, the owner of the grey C6 in the foreground started it up and started revving. The thing sounded positively EVIL.

I was behind a base-model, "plain jane" C6 coupe in red... and I kinda marveled at how... pedestrian it looked. I mean, it just looked like any other generic sporty coupe on the road. Was not a huge fan of the C6 when it first came out, and never really warmed up to it. Admittedly, the upgraded Z06/GS/ZR1s look better than the stock versions.

Yep, in the back of the local mall. They used to do this every September, but I'm not sure they've ever restarted it post-Covid.

ah cool. We have one at some of the Wal Marts here but its mostly being frequented by the sideshow/Hellcat/YN crowd unfortunately.

#4, Very funny to see you type "YN" X_X
At the local major car meets the takeover crowd are shunned and informally discouraged from attending. After trying to rip some donuts myself, I just don't see the point of going around and around for a few minutes. Especially considering that in my state they have implemented new laws to crack down on them and running from police

#5, They are here too, but they still gather at our meets and have gotten most of the informal shows shut down.

Luckily we've never had the "takeover" thing happen here. Too small a town, I guess.

The most I see is the odd grey, black or maroon Charger/Challenger/300, usually ragged out with tinted taillights, aftermarket polished wheels, ticking lifters, and and loud exhaust, whipping around in traffic and using too much throttle.

#7, Funny I should happen upon this thread now, because driving home last night I was nearly hit by some idiot in a dirty maroon Charger Daytona, replete with loud exhaust and bubbling window tint, who was driving way too fast and cutting in and out of lanes on the interstate.

#8, Saw a matte black sport bike cutting through traffic and [illegally] lane-splitting earlier today, with a fully-marked cop car amongst those in traffic they were flying past. The cop did not turn on his lights and appeared to be making no effort to speed up and catch up to him.

I assume the cop just figured he had no shot catching the guy. I normally don't wish ill on others, but motorcyclists like that that put everyone else in danger... I don't exactly want to shed a tear if they turn themselves into street pizza.
