And here we have the car that plows over the phone booth our well-meaning rookie cop was juuuust about to reach to call the D.A. with the bombshell revelation that his Chief is in bed with the mob and he's got the proof..... leading to a "chase" down a long, trash-strewn alley where he can somehow outrun it on foot.... until he runs up against a blind brick wall he somehow didn't see coming from blocks away.... whereupon the occupants stop, slowly disembark, mumble something about "too bad, kid. End of the line." and we get a canned "Magnum Force" gunshot SFX over a blackout screen before the proper circa-1981 brassy title theme starts playing.
