When your car is so boring that only light body damage and aftermarket hubcaps make it noticeable.

This is why I'm against 'proper' names for cars and prefer the alphanumerics. Right out of the factory - the Caliber name promised so much and fit nicely within Dodge's branding back then. Call it positive baggage. When you think of the word 'caliber' you immediately think of firearms. With the end of the SRT4 - the Caliber SRT would easily market itself as a high horsepower handgun of highway hell hierarchy hewn from the hands of Hitler himself.

Now the Caliber name is a statement of regret and anonymity.

I can't remember the last time I saw a Caliber, or an Avenger. These cars disappeared very quickly.

#4, I'm having trouble remembering the last time I saw an Intrepid (or Concorde for that matter)... I think I might have seen one of them maybe five years ago?

I've seen a few first gen Intrepids around, but I never see the second gen models.

Given that the transmission in my mother's '03 was going out at 80,000 miles, I can't say I'm surprised. It's a shame, too: The car was comfortable and smooth-riding. I've never ridden in a sedan with so much rear leg room.
