#2, As an add-on to that comment, I find the gap between Car & Track car reviews and the birth of PBS' Motorweek to be rather unfortunate. We really missed out on archival footage of reviewers track testing the absolute darkest days of modern American cars. Outdated engineering, piss-poor build quality, and some of the worst power-to-weight ratios this side of World War II.

#3, Check out Bob Mayer Behind The Wheel, WTVJ Miami. He filled in some of those blanks.

#4, Well, holy crap, by chance the first one of his reviews I saw was for the 1975 Ford Thunderbird...

"Outdated engineering, piss-poor build quality" INDEED!

#5, Now I've watched all the ones on YouTube, or at least, the ones I could easily find.

Apparently, the account that uploaded them IS Bob Mayer's personal YouTube account.

Oh great, now I think I may start diving down the rabbit hole of British "Drive In" car reviews on the ThamesTV YouTube channel...
