I've seen a car almost exactly like this one a couple of times in my area. Just add a blower and a fucking big exhaust that looks like the ones on vans on each side, between the wheels. |

Stringrays were cool, but they are way overpriced.
There was a gold '68-'73 coupe with Rally wheels for sale down the road from me about a year ago. It had been parked in his driveway for about 10 years (still looked good). I don't know what was wrong with it, but it looked awfully nice for the $3500 pricetag. |

For that much, I'd jump on it, fix whatever was wrong, then try to sell it for a profit.... we had one go real cheap at a Sheriff's sale here not too long ago.... wonder why they impounded it? |

#6, That post came out wrong, I was just asking it rhetoricaly, I don't know for sure, but in my experience, 99% of what the Sheriff impounds and sells is stuff, propery or real estate that folks have never made payments on... it's incredible, some of these folks are flat broke or into 6 figure debt, and still try to finance new cars, its' UFB.... |

No kidding. I was in a GMC dealership about a year ago and some couple behind me were talking about financing a Trans-Am for 60 (!) months, and their credit (from what I overheard) was so shitty they were going to get like 12% APR. This is in the middle of the big 0% promotions, mind you. He was kind of unsure, but she HAD TO HAVE the Ram-Air for an extra $3k. I was thinking to myself, these people are just digging themselves in deeper. |

My rule is, if you can't afford to pay it off in 3 years, wait. If it dies after 4 years (out of the warranty) you've still got to pay for it for another year if you do the 60 month thing. |

Some people treat finance as a shell game, how much debt can I keep moving untill it all comes apart? It's just absolutely incredible. And then they always bitch very vocally that with the economy "these days" you just can't get ahead! Hey idiot, maybe you shouldn't have spent money you didn't have? Just a thought..... Every car I've ever owned I've payed cash or money order right on the spot to the owner, and I've been much less stressed out for it...
