#3, yes there is.
a weak v6 engine is cheaper, and a "flashier" look appeals to more 16 year old girls.
it was a whole new market for ford.

Accually I might be able to buy a 68 or a 69 with a built up engine (he dosn't know the year for sure) for $3000. but he dosn't know If he's gonna sell and I'd need to look over it real good
