Ah...I went to a car show where there was an AC Bristol next to a Shelby 426 Cobra...amazing how different they really are, yet how similar they are...

#8, We're not ricers. And our knowledge of cars is quite diverse. The Cobra was based on the British AC Bristol roadster. Carol Shelby first made a Cobra with the 289 Ford V8, with minimal body mods, and later made a Cobra with a 427 Cobrajet engine, with wider fenders and such.

#9, I thought the AC Bristol was the base for the Cobra. Maybe the Ace and Bristol were the same body design, but different trim levels or years?
