Didn't Uncle Sam push most of these into the ocean somewhere as write-offs to discourage civilian sales? You know, like how they crush nearly all the Humvees with tractors when their service life ends? I remember there was SOME reason for it, but it never made sense, and as a result most WWII-era Jeeps are impossible to find and crazy expensive.

#21, i dont think so, cause i remember on of the history shows talking about how most of them ended up on farms. and since the army ones sold so well, thats what started the civilian jeep IIRC
