Saw an episode of Tricked Out on the DIY channel this morning. They put a CAI ($250), piggy-back electronic control module ($799 [yikes!]) and stainless steel exhaust ($400, no fart can).

Went from 105 hp 103 torque to an astonishing 111 hp and 110 torque at the front wheels!
Eek.
6 horsepower for $1,450. That's $241 per horsepower.

I would have just bought a S/C for it and called it a weekend.

#9, i dont think they bought any decals, so thats why there werent any powergains. :P and dont aftermarket exhausts usually lower low end torque? not increase, but i guess its mostly mid/high range torque anyways. was this an Xb or something? its a 5% increase in power and torque (close) if you had a decent motor to begin with lets say a SBC, at a base 260 hp. 260x1.05 = 273 hp. but you could do so much more with $1450 on a SBC.
