#20, it's the second time I have. the first was a zinc yellow one from sega GT 2002, which was replaced by a R34 GTR, which was replaced by this picture

#30, Yeah, but it's rather embarrassing that Ford didn't get the rights to their own car's name (GT40) because somebody else grabbed the trademark. Only in America.

When you get down to it, whereas the GT40 had a nice slippery timeless shape, this car is just the same proportions and styling cues with weird angles instead of curves.

#34, The way I understood it is that somebody started up a "GT40" parts company or somesuch, effectively making it his trademark. Ford wasn't willing to cough up something like $40 million to buy a name (which is what the asking price was).
