#39, In relation to the population he rules over...the percentage of people he kills, tortures, or simply gives a horrible life to...he's just as bad.
Open your eyes. I'll tell you the same thing I'd tell some so-called Americans...if you hate living under Tony Blair so much that you have to start protests...leave. Move to Iraq since you don't think it's so bad. |

#40, We're trying to PREVENT any more killing of civilians, you fool. We've had thousands of innocent people killed over the years by terrorists, and the Iraqi people are constantly being sacrificed for Hussien's ego. How dare you say we're in it to kill civilians. You seem almost as anti-American as the 09/11 hikjackers. I can't believe how ignorant someone can be to what's going on in the world. Of course, I can't expect you to understand our way of life, you're not lucky enough to be an American. |

#41, So, 1 Iraqi life is worth 30 German lives, or 100 Russian lives. I guess you just don't like Germans or Russians - but if you value the lives of Iraqis so much, why do you want to bomb them? Also, please point out where I said that Iraq was preferable to the UK. |

I am getting so pissed off. I'm not wasting anymore time on a mere Brit, when we have our own people to take care of. What he thinks DOES NOT MATTER to us. I cannot believe how people hate us because we have so much that they don't. Go start making your picket signs, bloke. They won't do any good. I hope you enjoy the exercise. |

#42, "There will not be a safe place in Baghdad," said one Pentagon official who
has been briefed on the plan. - CBS News
Yep, sounds like civilians will have it easy.
On the track record of the UK - just like America it makes for horrific reading. What can we do about the past except learn from our mistakes, which is why I'm against this war. |

#49, Unlike so many 'Bushbots' I haven't been programmed, not by parents, teachers, politicians or friends. I am capable of figuring things out for myself. I have no hatred for America as a nation, only for the selfish, sick fucks who control it. |

They don;t want to live anyways. We have to think about our future and the future of the people of the middle east. They know we're coming, if they decide to stay in the city, that's their fault. Since when has war been a friendly thing where we can't kill anyone? If you've learned from the past, you can't let Hussien remain in power...he'll come back and make you regret it someday, as will his sons.
WAKE UP. |

#52, From Chamberlain, I've learned that we shouldn't appease the needs of the warmongers - America, in this case. |

#51, Selfish leaders, huh? Yeah, Bush is really killing us when we speak out. He's starving us. He kills his family. He tortures children and rapes women, forcing families to watch. Sure, he's developing weapons to kill YOU and the rest of the world. He's funding terrorists.
I can't believe how some people try to compare the ONE person who's doing something to stop all of this to the people who are doing it. |

hoo boy -
where to start. Europeans have always claimed a greater understanding of the 'International' political scene. Let's be realistic - if you want to talk of the past, you can fairly blame the Europeans and English for many of the troubles in the Middle East. They started their colonies in the 19th Century, made tribal nomads into Kings, and then pulled out of the colonies in the 20th. (their track record in the colonies weren't the greatest btw)
Anyways - after awhile the world ends up with leaders like Saddam who want to control their country with an iron fist and take over the territory around them. Very old fashioned eh? Being the only power left in the world that can even put up a fight these days, we are stuck holding the bag.
Attacking Iraq is a good thing. Yes, innocent people will die from US Bombs. Yes, there are serious repurcussions politcally and economically. These are all important things to consider. But, the importan question is - (cont) |

(cont). necessary? I think it is. Why? Regional stabilization in an area that is already fragile. Removal of power of an obvious nut, and the hopeful creation of a worthwhile government could only help everyone. |

#55, What makes you think GWB & Co give a shit about you, or any of the American people he isn't related to by way of family or business? What makes you think he gives a shit about the victims of 9/11, he doesn't care for them, except for when he uses them as a political tool to get what he wants. A nice big piece of the sticky black pie in the Middle East, with which to boost his bank account and his ego. 9/11 was a dream come true for GWB, all it meant to him was guaranteed public support, and that is a vile and disgusting insult to every man, woman and child who died on that day.
Now a war won't make you any richer, but try to oppose him, and he'll make damn sure you get poorer. |

some random thoughts -
Militant Islamic's are a problem. Anyone willing to kill thousands of non-militairy people to advance their cause are only preying on the weak (read IRA) because they fear anyone stronger than themselves. You better believe that Saddam fears the US.
One cannot compare W vs Saddam. One is an elected member of a nation, while the other is a military dictator.
Again, wait for the evidence that may come to light before rushing in and judging why the US is so intent on getting Iraq. |
