#20, (forgive me for this one) You never have headroom in a Mustang because you ride high in the saddle, the seat is mounted too high. |

#21, Wheras I get something humorously bad like 12mpg and can spin that one wheel until it falls off. |

#20, Works alright for me. But I've got fairly long legs, so I do have the seat pushed far enough back that the backseat is totally useless. If I could figure out a way to rip it out entirely (and not make a mess) I would. |

#23, Yeah, I think snake's main complaint was about the door panels cutting into driver leg room. |

Only one I've ever driven I kept hitting my head on the roof unless I leaned the seat way back, PLUS (ultimate suckage) the brake pedal was too far away for proper heel-toe work. HOW IS A MAN SUPPOSED TO DRIVE IF HE CANNOT HEEL-TOE! |

#29, The back on mine folds down. Actually getting rid of the rear seat (and not having it look a mess) would probably be fairly involved. |

#31, You can shim the gas pedal up a little so it only sits 1/2 inch below the brake (I've done that). My main complaint is that the gas pedal is so low, but the clutch is so freaking high. It's a bit of a contortion. |

Car and Driver says they're still fox-bodies. They crack jokes about "chassis designed in 1979." I don't think so, but I haven't had time to get a tape measure out to the chassis of 'em. They _could_ be right. |

regarding comment #31. I'm the only guy I've ever met that heel-toes when stopping for traffic lights. It's just habit. |

The brake in the Brick is too close to the gas. I had a pair of big hiking boots when I bought it and I seriously couldn't drive it wearing those: Anytime I tried to hit the gas I pushed the brake down too. |

#33, nah, once you get it out, just find some carpet that matches yours and cover some plywood and bolt/screw it on |

#36, Although the newer Stangs are obviously derived in some ways from their Fox-based predecessors, I'm not sure I'd say it's the same chassis. However, I've never driven an older Mustang, so I cannot say for sure. |
