Description:
My new ride :D

I might be picking it up later this week, but I'm not rushing it (due to finals and stuff).

Sorry for the quality of the picture--my parents took it, and obviously it was dark out at the time.

#98, As what? The 89-97 Thunderbird and Cougar were the same car, with a different rear window, and the Mark VIII used a derivative of that chassis. Those cars were midsized and had an independent rear.

The Mustang is based on another chassis entirely.

#104, No, it's (the thunderbird is) about a foot longer and a couple inches wider, and has a baseline weight that's about 300 lbs. more. It also has an independent rear; the Mustang has a live-axle. Thunderbird=MN12. Mustang=SN95.

#105, Now why would I steal my own car, and how would I do it, considering it's 150 miles away and the only mode of transportation I've got is a pair of rollerblades?

#111, Okay, well actually a 4-link, if you want to get technical, but it's still a solid axle.

#116, Actually, I've got Florida prepaid college. I also am collecting the Bright Futures scholarship (100% tuition) and a National Merit scholarship (sponsored by the school, not the central organization--I was only like a semifinalist or something), which is around $3K a semester before taxes. Some of the money gets spent on housing and whatnot, but I'm not exactly putting my parents into the poorhouse.

Anyway, though, I did enjoy the last one of these that I had, and considering how hard the car was hit from behind, I can't really say I'm surprised it was so badly damaged. Hopefully I won't wind up in that situation with this one.
