Description:
My new ride :D
I might be picking it up later this week, but I'm not rushing it (due to finals and stuff).
Sorry for the quality of the picture--my parents took it, and obviously it was dark out at the time. |

#65, Why bother, when you can buy the proper parts for $100-200? :-) |

#146, That problem could be solved with the addition of stiffer springs, an LSD, and a thick rear swaybar. :-) |

Yay, I'm going home this evening (my father is stopping by my apartment to help me move most of my stuff out) and picking up the car. Then I'm going back to UCF for my last two days of work, and picking up the rest of my stuff.
If everything goes well, I should get to drive this tomorrow morning.
On the downside, I probably shouldn't use cruise control for that highway drive (car will need to be broken in, so I should vary my speed a little). |

Whee. Just got back from home to do my last two days of work at UCF. Car's not bad; I've noticed a few minor things they changed since my last one, but it's pretty cool. I still like the dark blue better, but the light silver color doesn't look bad at all. Rims are a little too shiny, though.
Car needs more power. This does not surprise me. |

#150, With 7 psi, I could do what it would take him 11 to do.
Still, there are enough restrictions on the engine (single exhaust, a couple bottlenecks in the intake, etc.) that I could probably get some decent gains by doing the usual intake/header/exhaust stuff, and then move on to porting the intake. |

So, now I've got a set of "C" springs for the car (around 1" drop, stiffer springs), and am now waiting to get them installed--need to get my father to help me, since it's a potentially awkward operation.
And then I need to start spending money on gofaster parts. :-) |

#157, Excellent idea--I hear those work much better than the jackstands we've got somewhere in the garage! :-P |

#158, yeah but you most likely will have to jack it up by the "frame" to put them on |

#159, Really not too worried about the whole deal, though--I've got specific instructions, as well as a Hayne's manual that I bought for the last car. I think we may need a spring compressor, because we're not too wild about the idea of getting hit by a flying coil if the front suspension can't be "unloaded" properly.
Perhaps we'll do that next weekend; I dunno.
Should give the car a harder, more stable ride, but it's still in need of a swaybar or something--I hate the way the rear rolls around on those cars. |
