The Edsel is probably the only "good" car to fail. The Pinto failed because it was a deathtrap, The Vega was a rustbucket, and the Yugo was a lemon, but the Edsel, aside from bing a bit ugly, just didn't sell |

I love the '59 Edsel. I'd love to have a Corsair done as a mild '50s-style custom: Olds Fiesta spinner hubcaps, tuck and roll interior, twin rear-mounted antennae, fender skirts, and 26 inch glasspack mufflers. Oh yeah, and fuzzy dice. Gotta have those. |

#3, Don't forget the Aztek. It's supposed to be a good car apart from being ugly.
Of course, the Edsel is endearingly ugly, whereas the Aztek is just ghastly. Of course, maybe it's time alone that's given the Edsel's styling appeal. I wonder if 40 years from now people will think that of the Aztek. |

Speaking of failures, Ford laied an egg with those Y blocks. Too damn heavy Handed the "hot rod" market over to GM for most of the 50's for that reason, the SBC was lighter |

#7, I dunno, the 312 Thunderbird was a pretty hot motor. Also, Ford had the FE series engines (352 interceptor ruled) around the same time period as the Y-block, and they were the precursor to the 427. |

There's a 59 Edsel sitting in the parking lot at the local Nissan dealership. Think it's the only Edsel I've ever seen. |
