Is everyone here just over looking reliability? A 9 second Viper can be a daily driver, the 10 second Civic can't. I've seen the fastest of them at the tracks, the guys complain all the time about blowing thing, breaking this, the cost of the fucking turbos and head gaskets. They gut the insides of the car and only get so many runs on the engine before something breaks and they need a rebuild. The Viper on the other hand runs great, has two leather seats, a full stereo, pulls a G in the corners, etc. Which would you rather drive?

All this talk about magazine times just shows your ignorance iMport-FoOl. According to your all holy magazine, Car&Driver, the Lightnings run mid 14s. I've seen many stock ones turn mid 13s at many different tracks. Magazines times are never worth a shit. Real world racing is where it all happens. Until you go to the track and run you shitbox, your opinion is worthless. Seen lots of imports at the track....always in the rear view mirror too.

Were did the Evo come in to this discussion there is no rice there and to be technical that’s a Mopar too. But not all Imports are in question here. One of my best friends drives stock 13s S2000. Wrxm’all drives a WRX just as fast, also stock. I don’t nock these cars. I nock ricers that tune economy cars and argue that they’re the end all be all of cars. And that’s what this whole thing was about. Once again thanks for coming in

Last time I checked, Mitsubishi was self-owned, and has remained self owned. I know that DalmierChrysler did try to take a stake in up to 40% of it, and could have, a la Ford/Mazda, but like I've said before, saying that a Lancer EVO is Mopar is like saying that a twin turbo Mazda RX-7 is from the same heritige as a Ford Mustang. Completely different companies.
Case closed.
