This is why race cars of the 40's 50's and before were more or less death traps. All that crash force went right to the driver, the only thing that's apparently broken off the car is it's two driver's side wheels. That and fire, since puncture-resistant fuel cells were not yet invented, and neither were nomex suits and gloves. |
