#40, I wish I had a Buick or something...my trip to campus is 15 miles each way...the little Mirage is a fine car, but not all that luxurious, ride-wise...it's pretty rough. My Capri was actually a great highway car, very soft suspension...

The Mustang basically has a low-budget autocross setup--stiff springs and aggressive damping. It likes smooth pavement. :-)

#40, oh yeah? try a 1993 ranger short cab, with the base suspension, including worn out shocks and snow tires every day on roads torn apart by snowplows...

Try Pennsylvania roads. I have all of you beat in the "worst-ride" category.

#43, Yeah, that sounds pretty shitterrific.

Yes, I have tried Pennsylvania roads. In a Cavalier. No, my back has never truly recovered.

#45, Not much. $7/hr. or some crap; it's mostly just to keep me from going broke while I'm here.

#47, well sometimes...but not when it rains and a pothole sends my truck fishtailing because of the light weight in the back and the superrific rigid axle ;p that is downright dangerous in the turns

#50, well, a jello mold in a form of a birthday cake would have better support than my vinyl bench does...

#48, I've worked at mine for about 3 years now. The downside to the whole thing is that now the only people they're hiring are work-study students. Getting into that program requires showing about $4K worth of financial need. I DON'T qualify for need-based aid by any stretch, so if I hadn't already been hired a while back (under different terms) I'd never have gotten this job.

#52, Leaf springs aren't a terribly precise way to locate an axle, either. Can't say I'm much interested in driving a truck. :-)

#57, 4-link, right? Anything to locate the axle laterally (panhard bar, watts link, etc.)?
