#16, that was cause all the FRPP cams are mentto be used with 5 speeds. since the swap I have had no problems. a 300hp 5.0 is nothing, hell I know someone with a roots blown, built all to hell 347 and he still drives it on the street with no problems (with a carb no less)

you can get 400hp out of a 302 using the stock cam, 1.7 lifters, and AFR heads... with a carb sitting on top. Car Craft had an article on it awhile back. I always wondered what the power would be with the EFI setup and some beefier injectors.
I still wanna get a stang just for drag racing... the aftermarket is awesome.
