What's really stupid about this is you can buy air intakes that look like intercoolers, so just buy one of those for pretty much the same amount and it'll actually be functional *sigh* one born every second

Well, think about how your average ricer thinks "No, I can't beat your car, but, I will someday, right after I get my (whatever) installed, so just start worshiping my car right now and save yourself the touble" now we've got the next logical step. "SInce my car will eventualy beat yours, there's no need for me to actualy put the real stuff in, just making it LOOK like it could beat you is enough"
