I wasn't sure. I thought it was a F355, the wheels threw me off. Now I remember that the 355 has round foglights. [Edited by 427 Vette on 8-19-2004 @ 01:06:43 PM]

#2, Well, on its own, it was an excellent car, but it wasn't what people were hoping for as a replacement for the TR.

Woof. I was completely wrong. This was a replacement for the 308/328, and was actually a vast improvement over that line of vehicles. The only problem is it had some rough-edges and quirkiness, and the 355 improved on all of that, to where the 348 was relegated to its shadow in the pages of history. In terms of "replacing the TR", there never was one; the closest conceivably being the 550 Maranello, which is really a stretch.

348s have some rather rabid fans, who are always quick to point out that they lack the power steering of the 355s, which rob them of some road feel.

#11, It's not exactly a Formula Ford. You don't need to feel every pebble and minute undulation in the road. I'll take power steering and save my arms, thank you very much.

It is a lightweight, mid-engine car, though, so it wouldn't really be saving your arms that much.
