Description:
So it's another one of those days for me. I'm sitting around trying to figure out how to swindle my fellow man out of a few grand, when an idea for a business venture hits me: SHAT industries. Specializing in parts for the Daewoo Lanos, Toyota Tercel/Paseo, Toyota Echo, Kia Rio, Kia Sephia, and Geo Storm. |

So think about it...we have thousands of these late model pieces of shit, which are for some reason highly prized by their owners. Some companies make parts for them, but nobody specializes in them, right? Right. Until now. Or until I can get financial backing. Which...uh....isn't quite now.
The reasoning behind my choices:
Daewoo Lanos: When I say "high-performance", you probably don't think "Korea". In fact, I'll wager you're more likely to think "seedless grapes". Nevertheless, the Lanos was an unmitigated performance car. Although Daewoo was sadly a failure in the automotive market, due to the inordinate number of people too unsophisticated to understand things like "1.6 liter DOCH ETECH" and appreciate a blistering 12.5 second 0-60 time, with SCAT industries new "Powered by ETECH" stickers, as well as reprograming chips for the electronically controlled 4 speed auto transmissions and JDM fuel rails, you can show these Phillistines what they're missing. |

I thought they didn't sell because noone wanted them and didn't trust an independent car company. |

Toyota Tercel/Paseo: These cars are over 10 years old now, officially making them classics in the tuner market. Choose from the plentiful, "no frills performance" Tercel, or the amazingly sporty Paseo. With plenty of performance from their 1.5 DOHC 4 cylinders, these cars are surely going to gain that cult following that Toyota was hoping for EVENTUALLY. Be the first on your block. With our line of "TERCEL" and "PASEO" windshield banners and JDM fuel rails, you'll be setting trends, not following them.
Toyota Echo: This bad boy is the antithesis of the Tercel: There's nothing classic about it. It's 1.5 liter engine features VVT-i, which means it has lots of little moving things in the engine that makes it faster. With 10.5:1 compression it delivers a screaming 108 hp @ 6000rpm, and a ground-shaking 105 ft. lbs. @ 4200rpm. With our line of carbon fiber storage bins and JDM fuel rails, you can join the next generation of high-tech tuning. |

Kia Rio: With it's sedate sedan body and over 80 hp, the Kia Rio is sure to the '55 Chevy of our time. Tuning websites like StreetKiaz already show these cars breaking 17s in full street-legal trim. With our line of Andy's Autosport lookalike body kits and JDM fuel rails, you can show the domestic drivers that the Korean war is still being fought.
Kia Sephia: With plenty of cars available for next to nothing on used car lots, such personal touches as an "available spoiler" and "floor mats", and 130 horsepower from a 1.8 liter 4 cylinder, the Sephia is rapidly replacing the Honda Civic as the car that every tuner has to get his hands on. With SCAT industries, you get such components for these cars as "Sephia, as in Loren" decals, and a complete line of JDM fuel rails. |

#4, 108 is pretty impressive for a 1.5. Since it weights a feather and gets great gas mileage, that isn't that sad of a car then. |

Geo Storm: "Geo" is rapidly becoming the name on everyone's lips when the word's "classic" and "sports car" are used together, replacing "Triumph" as the car of choice for the discriminating tuner. With 1.6 liter DOHC 16 valve engines designed by Isuzu (which you may not know, is a Japanese company), the Storm was capable of 3.1 second acceleration times from a stop (*cough*0-30*cough*). These factory screamers, with their front wheel disc brakes and .84 g roadholding capability, surprised a fair number of Porsche 911s in their day. Now, with SCAT industries line of Toyota Supra-like rear wings and JDM fuel rails, they can make a comeback on your block.
And of course, SCAT will offer lights, speaker enclosures, interior dyes, lights, racing seats, lights, simulated Porsche turbo 5 spoke wheels (13"-15"), lights, brake caliper paint, SCAT industries decals, and lights for all the cars in it's range.
Thoughts? |

I have not seen a geo storm yet that isn't at least 40% rust. Those things die like sick goldfish.
Extremely Grotesque! |

#9, It was supposed to say "SHAT", I kept mistyping it for some reason.
There is a company called SCAT, I might have been thinking of them. |

#8, I live in the rust belt. Next to the Datsun 280Z, it is the most disgusting car on the road as far as rust. |

The whole thing is. I figured saying things like "a blistering 12.5 second 0-60 time", "It's 1.5 liter engine features VVT-i, which means it has lots of little moving things in the engine that makes it faster", and "such personal touches as an 'available spoiler' and 'floor mats'" would make that apparent.
Not to mention the obsession with "JDM fuel rails".

Mud flaps are GOLDEN. My 88 van is rust free because of it, and it was originally from canada. |
