#19, HA! That's funny...the last time I saw a Majorette diecast for sale here in America was at an Ames in Pennsylvania... their toy section looked like it hadn't been restocked in over 5 years...

#21, I only ever saw them at the local Kay-Bee, and it's pretty obvious to me now they were some cheap import from Korea or China, the body was diecast, but unlike HW or MB, the undersides were plastic, and the wheels could be bent out of place with a finger, but, they did go pretty fast on the floor, owing to the fact the wheels had very very TINY pins holding them in, and they would flex like a natural suspention over cracks and uneven parts of floors, so they routinely outran everything else I had :D

All this talk about Hot Wheels got me thinking about all the old ones I use to have. My favorite one was a red '53 Vette. It wasn't in the best of shape but it was mine. I'm pretty sure it's in the attic with some of the other ones I saved. The ones I didn't keep got smashed on a rock, which now that I think about it, was stupid.

#24,
Their 1/18 diecasts blow, even if they only cost about $20. Maisto does a better job than them. Hotwheels also has a strangle hold of the Ferrari 1/18 market, they are the sole producers of them, so upscale companies like AutoArt, Kyosho and others can't make the newer model Ferrari's until the HW license expires. Although there are good quality Ferrari 1/18's made by Kyosho they are mostly the older Ferrari's like the 308, 328 and Daytona, which they have to pay a premium to Hotwheels for everyone sold because of the HW contract with Ferrari.
