Just one of the cars in the horrible Matchbox line of Hollywood vehicles, or whatever the fuck it was called.

They just took some of their existing cars and slapped decals from an old show or movie on them...

Ok, it's Matchbox's "Star Car" line...and a few of them, including this, can be found in this top 10 worst list: http://www.hollywood-diecast.com/top%20ten%20worst.htm

#3, They used to be sorta good... but yeah, now they're just crap. I'd say Matchbox is Hot Wheel's retarded brother (they're both owned by Mattel), but Hot Wheels is going down the crapper too, with all their rice and bling crap.

#4, oh lordy, Hot Wheels has apparently been sponsoring FMF and is now offering "pimp whips" nest spring.

#5, Uhm...they already have FMF diecasts...I've seen them in the stores... they're under the "Team Baurtwell" label or something like that...and they have a similar line called "West Coast Customs" which is basically the stupid shit done by the Pimp My Ride guys (none of the PMR cars, just the OTHER custom cars they've done for themselves and real customers).

Both lines of Hot Wheels cars made me lose what respect I had left for Hot Wheels...

#6, well yea, but now they are apparently gonna make a new mainline series called "whips". The ones that cost under $1

I long for the days you could go down to the K-Mart and buy a hot wheels or matchbox car that looked pretty much like your family car, whatever you drove, sure, it may be an odd color like purple, and it may have some odd 80's graphics on the side, "Pac Man" digital blocks or odd stripes, but taht was it, it CERTAINLY didn't have wings and 33'' rims.........

Hot wheels have turned the diecast car market into a sham of a farce of a mockery

#7, >_<

#8, *sigh* I remember those days...that's why all my 1/64 diecasts I get these days are either Johnny Lightning, or Golden Wheels Diecast (from Dollar General)

JL and GWD look like NORMAL CARS... JL obviously being the higher-quality ones (and they cost ~$2-$4 each, whereas the GWD are 2 for $1.)

#9, I still remember some of my favorite matchboxes, the ones that got the coveted spots on all the playsets....

Blue 87' Camaro IROC w/ functioning hood
Yellow Renault Le Car w/ opening hatchback
Purple Datsun Z car of some sort
Green Ford Escort (UK version, wheel was on right, had euro plates)
Green Mercury Villager Wagon w/ opening trunk gate
Blue Chevy K series flare side bed w/ trailer hitch
Red Rally-style BMW, with rally "kit" sides and bumpers
White VW passenger van

#10, Oh lord...I've seen those in stores. (That 'Cuda thing, and a 427 Cobra >_< )

I just fucking hate Hot Wheels. Plus, their NASCAR diecasts are the worst in the business.

#14, Somewhere in a desk drawer, I have DIck Trickle's old Quality Care Ford in 1:64 :D Amazing ammount of detail in such a little model, including the underside, complete with proper exhaust routing and bottom of the fuel cell.

Talking about 1/64 diecasts has just reminded me of Majorette... I kinda liked Majorette...still have quite a few Majorette diecasts...

...interesting note, when I was in France for the second time (I was about 8) the only kinda diecasts they had in the toy stores there were Majorette... (makes sense, as it's a French company, and France is rather xenophobic about foreign products)

...and Majorette's 1/64 stretch limos were kinda cool (I still have all of mine...3 Caddys, 2 Mercedes)

I don't think I've said Majorette enough in this post, so Majorette Majorette Majorette :P

#16, I had one Majorette, it was an SUV kinda thing, looked like a Land Rover, with police lights that would light up if you pushed down on the front wheels..... that was the only one I ever had

I also had a few cars from the "Fast 111" (Fast Ones) line of cars that exsist for a few short years, from like 1983-1985 if that, they were all "Knock off" cars, in that they didn't look like anything that was a real car model, and tended to look like cars on steroids, scoops, cowls, spoilers and ground effects, interrestingly, they all had "lisence plates" on the bumpers that had numbers on them, and each car, no matter what the rest of it looked like, had the SAME bumers as all the rest so they could stick those plates on them
