I found an ad in the paper for an 89 Supra with a brand new JDM engine, so after lots of begging and waiting I had my parents call the number in the paper. The guy said he was seeling it because he got caught going 143mph. That quickly got my attention, so we went to look at it. When we got there, it was in very good shape, new brakes, new tires, new clutch. He was even going to throw in his Alpine head unit and the amp and 10 inch sub. The car had every factory option, power seats, locks, windows, even targa top. He said we were the 2nd people to test drive it. We pulled out and the car was smoking like a jamaican. We thought it was a little odd that he was putting antifreeze in it before we got there, he said it was because of the engine swap. My dad found out that the car had a blown head gasket. The owner hadn't driven it since the last guy test drove it and said the previous guy drove it like a Honda Civic and wouldn't shift until about 7000 rpms. I was so pissed...

Well, a blown head gasket isn't that serious...unless you drive a Peugeot. :P

It figures that anything would the words "Supra" "head unit" and "JDM" would attract some riceboy tards, though.

well unless the owner is lying about when the head gasket went bad, to me it just seems a little fishy :-/
