#38, and watch my bottom end blow sky high ;-)

#39, this picture doesn't really do them justice, they look better in person, plus I think they really go with the flow of the cars lines IMHO

YAY!! my boat just ruined some punk in a 5.0s night :-) this kid has been driving his 87-93 GT by my place for a few months trying to act all big and bad.while a little while ago I found out from the guy I bought my short block of, that he thinks he has the meanest stang in town. I also found out all he has is exhaust and 3:73 gears. well just a little while ago he does his normal thing, goes over the RR tracks then gets on it when he sees me glace up. well a few mins after he goes by I run to work to see when I go in tomorrow (I live like a mile and change from it). when I get in my car I see him go by on the highway, so I haul ass after him (well more like 60 in a 45/35). I had just started to catch up when he turned on my road, I get right up on him right as we go over the tracks, turn overdrive off, and it was on. we raced for about 1/8th mile from about a 15mph roll and he never even gained 1/4th of a car length on me (which is really sad since my cars low end sucks).

yes I know street racing is bad, but I don't care. I couldn't pass up a chance to burst his bubble in my grandpa car :-)

#43, >:(

Mark VIII =/= Grandpa car!!!

They're fucking badass.

Though, since you're in the position of actually owning one, and I'm in the position of dreaming about owning one, your opinion on the matter probably outweighs mine :(

Well I know they're not, but to the average person that doesn't know anything about them, how to you think they are viewed?

#47, Get this. The Tipo floorpan, as good as it is (rigid and fairly large) has one major gripe (well... besides being FWD >_<): front control arms and bushings are made as one part. The bushings to to hell every 80k kilometres o_O On every car built on that floor pan. So: Tipo, Tempra, Coupe, Alfas, Lancias and whatnot. They failed to cope with it during those 10 or 15 years o_O
It happened twice in the old Tipo and just happened now in the new one.
I'm trying to convince my dad to try and find some performance control arms with stiffer bushings... if they exist that is.

well as much of a pain in the ass as that was, it still only took me about 2 hours to do it. From what I've read Ford charges for 4hrs and thats with them knowing what they are doing ahead of time. seems to have fixed all my problems, now my back end is up a little higher and seems to be even with the fender gap on the front.

at last I got to run a 300C today (been wanting to since I got this). From a 5-10mph roll it had the jump on me (YAY for no torque) and pulled about a half of car on me, then I held even till about 75 when I started gaining on him, then I backed out somewhere above 90. so from a dead stop it should be a pretty good race and once I get my gears in I'll eat them for lunch :-)

#51, I was starting to get worried when he started to pull away, thought I was going to get my ass flat out handed to me. I think I could have passed him had I not ran out of balls. racing + 90something in a 55 would have been a nasty ticket

well this pos died last night. it had been sitting for the past year when the right side ball joint decided to let go. So after putting all new control arms on it and front air strut had another rear brake line blow out, and I mean right after getting the front end fixed. So I got a new brake line cramed up in it which was a bitch and as soon as we got them bled and I started to back it down the drive, the engine blew. So I could drop about 2 grand in it to have a shop put another engine in (engine has to come out from the bottom, not something we can do without a lift) just to see what would brake next, but I'm going to cut my losses and run. Going to sell it as a parts car and see if I can't get about grand out of it.

#55, well it had a little bit of a knock on cold start ups for awhile now, but yeah was just backing down and it started knocking like crazy, shut it off and there was a huge cloud of smoke coming out of it.
