#4, no seriously, i have read they were pretty good marine engines during the 50-70s (somewhere around there). right now the best engines for boats are GM, Mercury Marine (mercruiser), and crazy more private ones...(hte major power engines)

Lamborghini didn't exist in the '50s. I believe they started using marine engines in competitive boat racing around 1985. Something like a 8.2 liter V12 and a 9.3 liter V12.
