My options at the moment :
- Mazda 626
- Toyota Corolla
- Honda Accord
- Nissan Altima
I'm looking for an ordinary, cheap, economic, roomy car with a 4-banger, manual transmission and decent storage/room. I will pay 4000$ CA MAX.

Get a 90+ Volvo 240 Turbo. For that much money you could get a really clean one. They are quick and RWD and if you get a wagon, storage room is no question. |

#2, Volvo is a good idea.. The thing is, I can't get a turbo car because I'll beat it to death and can't afford to repair it. And what about reliability ? |

I'd suggest a mid-90's altima. Simple design, decent performance. |

#3, Then a non-turbo is your answer. Trust me, these things are the most reliable things on the road next to Toyots. Just ask Irv Gordan with his Volvo P1800 with 2.2 million miles on it and only 3 rebuilds.

If youre looking for reliability a 94-97 Accord would be GREAT, but it wouldnt be much in the power/handling/looks departments.
But 5spd 92/93 Coupes can be quite fun ;)

#9, Seriously.
How important is RWD to you? I now that would be the most important thing to me. |

#7, They're too expensive. I could only afford a '91-'92 for 4000$. |

#5, Another point that popped in my head. 240's are ass rare in my area, and so are Volvo parts. And I'm not much of a mechanic at all. |

My vote would be for either the honda and altima.. my old girlfriend used to have a subara station wagon ( i think that's what that second to last pic is) and it was nothing but trouble. |
