I wouldn't call it the biggest blunder. The biggest would have been if they had actually called it the Mustang. |

Well, the economy, government regulations, and the oil shortage of the late 70s caused that. I think the Probe was quite a blunder also. |

Definately. The Mustang would've been replaced by the ZX2 as Ford's 2 door-sport economy car! Isn't that a weird thought? Probe out in '97, ZX2 came in '98 to fill the hole in Ford's lineup. |

#13 - I remember when the probe came out in '88(?) and it being mentioned as a replacement for the mustang. Which is strange since the mustang was selling really really well at the time. Well that's the 'glory' of the FWD car, displacing RWD ever so slowly... |

#15, Probes are the only v-6 sports cars ever made.
Lukily, they died with the Probe II. |
